1. I have fake nice handwriting. I write really ugly if I’m tamad or in a hurry or just feel like it.
2. When I was younger, I was addicted to the Sweet Valley series. I used to think I was Jessica Wakefield and my sister was Elizabeth.
3. I did a monologue from The Streetcar Named Desire for my Comm3 class even though I hadn’t seen the movie. Turns out it was my prof’s favorite movie and he lent me an original DVD he bought from the States! Since then, I’ve had a crush on the young Marlon Brando ;)
4. I like all kinds of adventurous rides, just not the ones that spin you around while taking you up and down. Never been on one of those.
5. When I’m training or running or doing some strenuous physical activity, I like to tire myself out to the point of passing out. I think the peak of fatigue is exhilarating.
6. I got into a bike accident when I was six and had to undergo plastic surgery and stitches under my chin. When I saw my mom after the surgery, still high on meds, the first thing I said was, “Mommy, maganda pa ba ako?” Hahaha taray!
7. I think girls who drink beer are bad-ass cos I can’t do it. I absolutely hate the taste. Blech.
8. When I’m alone in the car and it’s traffic and I get reeaaaally sleepy, I just turn up the volume and dance! Slapping yourself in the face never works
9. When I was younger, I never got tired of Parent Trap. I probably watched it 20 times. Now, the movie I will never get sick of is One More Chance. When it’s showing on TV, my whole world stops. I also have it in my laptop hihi shameless
10. I love to write out my feelings, usually the negative ones, as a form of release. I have a couple of diaries, but now I’m tamad to write things down so I just type. I don’t like having random people read them cos I get shy, so I have secret/hidden/anonymous outlets.
11. I like to put memories in boxes. Movie tickets, gifts, receipts, pictures, even scents. In one of my drawers, I keep several memory boxes - one for each relationship that ended. Hahaha very Gilmore Girls
12. I love Gilmore Girls! It’s one of the most underrated TV shows ever. The story and the script are just so witty, but really, where in the world do people converse like that?
13. When I have high fever, I get delirious. As in scary delirious. “I see dead people” kinda shit. I haven’t been that sick for years though *knock on wood* so I wouldn’t know if I would still be like that
14. My greatest fear would probably be to be stranded in open water and get eaten alive by sharks. Then there’s singing in front of a large crowd. But really, what’s the difference? Haha
15. I love/hate guys who are such guys. Raise your hand if you get it haha
16. Sometimes, when I’m commuting, I get the urge to just get on anything that’s moving or miss my stop and get myself lost. I did this once and I ended up walking along the dark parts of freaking Commonwealth Ave thinking I was gonna get raped any minute. Scary shit
17. I loooove coffee. Instant coffee does not taste as good as the brewed kind. I died when my mom gave me my own coffee maker to take to the boarding house. If I had extra money, I would buy Illy coffee, but it’s so expensive!
18. People tell me when they hang out with me, they end up eating a lot. I think it’s the way I eat. I make it look sooo good, hahaha NAT
19. I eat with my mouth open and make sounds. Yes, like a cow. I wasn’t aware of this until a friend of mine pointed it out. I know it’s bad manners and not very ladylike (haha) but it’s the only way I can really taste the food. Sorreh.
20. I joined Toastmasters during summer just before my sophomore year. When school started, I would go home to Alabang on Thursdays to attend meetings. I was the youngest person there and they made me club secretary (cos I had nice handwriting. haha jk) Then school got too hectic (aka BACBACAN practices and accounting) and I couldn’t go anymore :(
21. In my last year in high school, I probably had 25 tardies in one term even if I lived 5 minutes away from school. I developed a lot of tactics to avoid being marked as late like leaving my bags downstairs so I would come up to my classroom looking like I just went to the bathroom. Haha! Good thing I was the class secretary so alam na
22. I like Bicol express. Our maid makes a mean Laing and I could eat just that plus a whole tub of rice any day
23. I used to be a dog person, but then my mom didn’t like them around cos they stank up the house. One day, my dad brought home a stray cat and it was really sweet and smart (it pees on the bathroom shower drain) and so now I’m a cat person. My new favorite’s name is Cutie/Baby/Cutiepiepie (I haven’t really decided on a permanent name). I love how cats are so deadma and chill about everything, whereas dogs are so sensitive and they hold grudges. Still I miss my old doggie, Herky. Okay, rambling
24. When I’m bored I think of nice name combinations for my future children. Haha
25. My name is Maria Criselda but my nickname’s spelled as Chrissie. Where did the H come from? I dunno, ask my mom :P
~ Eat. Pray. Love. by Elizabeth Gilbert
Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back.
But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.
